Paid Intern Positions at the Oregon Department of Transportation
Who is eligible?
Current high school juniors and seniors who are part of the Eastern Oregon CANN Chapter network, and are interested in learning about heavy equipment repair. We are seeking two curious, energetic interns who would like to learn more about working in the public sector.
- Have a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
- Complete the intern application, including a 300-word essay.
- It is preferred that students have had involvement in school and community activities.

When will I start working:
These internships will run from mid-June to mid-September, 2021. Students will work approximately 25 hours per week and will be paid $15.20 or $15.68 per hour, depending on level of education.

Job Opportunity with Micronesian Islander Community
Position Title: Community Research and Outreach Worker
Reports To: Micronesian Islander Community (MIC) Executive Director
Hours: Full time, exempt position
Compensation: $38,400 per year, $50 phone stipend per month, $125 health insurance stipend per month. One year position, with possibility of extension dependent on work products and funding availability.

- Community Information Specialists—Vaccine Program
will focus on the vaccination information, sites, schedules and so on. Because it’s launching quickly, and because vaccination information will be changing quickly and often, this is a good opportunity for people who learn quickly and can roll with it when changes are announced. Pay is $16 an hour, with a 75-cent language differential, and these are regular positions that are benefited for anyone who works 30 hours a week or more. The vaccine program contract goes to Dec. 31.
- Community Information Supervisor—Vaccine Program
will lead this team. Applicants should have supervisory experience and the ability to lead people and deliver excellent customer service in a rapidly changing environment. This pays $18.50 an hour, and the vaccine line contract goes to Dec. 31.
- Community Engagements Coordinators
we’re hiring for Community Engagement Coordinators in Klamath Falls and Eastern Oregon to build awareness and partnerships with health and social service organizations, emergency management organizations, and residents.
The work includes meetings/trainings with service providers, emergency managers and others to collaborate with community networks, strengthen knowledge of 211info’s services, and ensure database accuracy. We invite candidates who are committed to working with under-represented populations, who speak languages in addition to English, and who reflect rural Oregon’s diverse communities.
These are benefited positions that pay $18 an hour plus mileage, with a pay differential available for Spanish/English bilingual applicants. The ability to travel around the region and access to a reliable car are necessary.
